Training & Outreach

Training & Networking

We host two statewide training and networking events to help our vendor community learn to compete with confidence in the state contracting arena. There is never a cost to attend an event conducted by our office.

The Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs is committed to promoting the benefits of the Maryland's preference procurement programs for small, minority, women, and veteran owned businesses. Our staff members regularly participate as keynote speakers and exhibitors for webinars, conferences, workshops, seminars, resource fairs and trade shows. From the western mountains to the eastern shore and everywhere in between, our team members are here to help.

We are subject-matter experts in a variety of areas such as the SBR Program, the MBE Program, the VSBE Program, MBE rights and responsibilities, and doing business with the State of Maryland,

If you are interested in having a member of our team participate in your business-focused event, contact our Small Business Outreach Manager, Eduardo Hayden.
