Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs Announces Second Quarter Schedule for Technical Training Classroom

Collaborating Across State Agencies, Helping Small Businesses Compete with Confidence

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs today announced the second quarter schedule for its 2019 Technical Training Classroom. Offered at no cost to small business owners and entrepreneurs, these six sessions cover a range of topics to aid small businesses performing in the public and private sectors. This quarter will focus on maximizing competitiveness through better efficiency and will include presentations from multiple state agencies, including Maryland’s Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation and Commerce.

“Maryland is open for business and we want our small, minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses to compete with confidence,” said Jimmy Rhee, special secretary of the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs. “The classes offered this quarter can really help them increase their competitive advantage by improving operational efficiencies.”

Instructors are subject-matter-experts from state agencies and small business owners. The 2-hour classes help small business owners compete with confidence in both the public and private sectors. Morning and afternoon sessions are conducted on the fourth Tuesday of each month (except December) at the Governor’s Coordinating Offices located at 100 Community Place in Crownsville. Registration is free, but seating is limited and advance registration is required.
