Are you interested in contracting opportunities
with state government agencies?
Join us for these Procurement Connections Workshops.

Our Ready, Set, GROW! (RSG) will be expanding under our new Department of Social and Economic Mobility (DoSEM). The Office of Small, Minority and Women Business Affairs (now OSBA - formerly the Governor's Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs) will begin to offer our business engagement through the following 5 outreach categories:
1. Ready, Set, GROW! Procurement Connections Workshop:
In-person events meant to connect our small, minority, women & veteran-owned businesses to the landscape that is doing business with the state of Maryland. Businesses will get a chance to learn more about the procurement process, tools, and resources that vendors can utilize to connect with buyers from several state agencies. Each buyer will share what they are looking to buy currently, what is in their pipeline, and how to connect with them directly. Parcticipants will gain insights on how our small, minority, women, and veteran procurement programs work and learn strategies for mining public data to help with their business development efforts.
2. Ready, Set, GROW! Open Houses:
In-person events with one or more targeted state agencies and/or state procurement entities where vendors will get the opportunity to connect directly with that entity and any of its departments/units and learn more about what opportunities they have currently or in the near future.
3. Ready, Set, GROW! State Agency - Prime Contractor Matchmaking:
In-person events with one or more targeted state agencies and/or state procurement entities focused primarily on current or upcoming opportunities specific to certain industries and the prime contractors that are ready and able to perform as a prime contractor.
4. Ready, Set, GROW! Prime Contractor - Subcontractor Matchmaking:
In-person events with various active prime contractors in the region, who already do business with the state agencies and/or procurement entities, or who are ready and able to perform as a prime contractor. This is meant to connect Subcontractors who are interested in building relationships, with the goal to eventually work on projects with these respected prime contractors.
5. Ready, Set, GROW! Regional Opportunities Workshop:
In-person events meant to connect various stakeholders that operate or are seeking to operate in any one of our six regions & the counties and municipalities in those regions. These would focus on identified and targeted areas based on industries and product & service codes that align & meet those needs.
